The trays for the KR Multicase range are manufactured from soft high tensile foam.  We use this for 2 reasons, the first is that it is not abrasive to painted figures, and secondly as the tray base is the same material figures can easily stick out 5 or 6mm above the tray and the tray above will not damage the figures in the tray below, as would be the situation if the bases were hard.  Additionally our trays and bases are glued together in preference to using double sided tape as this provides a permanent join.  There is no assembly required of our trays, either in removing foam from our standard trays or in sticking them together.
The trays are split into THREE main categories:
Standard
V-format segmented pick&pluck
D-format segmented pick&pluck

This makes choosing the best case for your needs much easier as  the contents are logically organised, though if you are stuck drop us a an email for advice.
We have added these tray dimensions to our dimensions page to help you choose which KR Multicase is the perfect one for you. Have fun choosing and measuring, we have added a few descriptions to help guide you as to what can fit in each - though the limit is really your imagination!

As we have been supplying increasing numbers of specially requested combinations of trays in our KR Multicases we have increased our range of trays and provided a “custom choose” your trays for your case page.  This should help in deciding on the perfect case for you!

The compartment size, which, in the KRMF3 is the largest on the market, makes it ideally suited for all miniature wargaming and table top gaming figures. The full range from 6mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, and 28mm are all well catered for.

The overall size of the KR Multicase is exceptionally compact at only 400mm x 270mm x 120mm, and yet can hold as many figures as larger cases, and in the KRMF4, with its 144 compartments significantly more!

The KRMF3 Multicase has three separate foam trays with a total of 108 separate compartments. They can be cut and changed to suit different size items, or figures, vehicles and armies.
The KRM03 Multicase has three separate corrugated card trays to maximise the storage potential, with a total of 147 separate compartments. They can be cut and changed to suit different size items, or figures, vehicles and armies. Other versions are available too - take a look at our products page.
They are easily stackable and so storing your armies is a piece of cake. That coupled with the ease of decorating them means that you can identify the contents easily - no more searching through endless cases! You can colour them, stencil them, write on them, even stick a picture of your army on them! Make yours unique, it doesn’t have to look like everyone elses!
They provide superb storage for paints and accessories too.

Materials
The case is made from solid KLC heavy duty dense card, the same as is used for commercial archiving of documents. It is not made from cheaper and inferior corrugated card as this just is not up to the job.  It is very durable and incredibly protective. The tray inserts are made from either foam or medium density corrugated card as this is easy to modify and both provide a soft surface for the figures.
Having trialed many foam grades we have selected one which provides the softest and most forgiving surface for figures and vehicles, yet is tough enough to provide the full support needed for your miniatures. How often do you get broken and bent swords and spears etc with foam which is too stiff?  Our foam supports figures, not distorts figures!
The wrap around lid provides all round protection and the injection moulded plastic handle forms the snaplock for the KR Multicase to provide a securely closed case. This ensures the contents are safe from spilling out and can be transported with ease.
A KRMF3 case is surprisingly weighty at almost 1kg due to the high quality card and foam used, the KRM03 case is heavier weighing over 1.2kg.
